Sydney last day

My last day in Sydney and again, the girls were going to bed as I got up - good on them - you're only young once!

Oh, & btw, this is how they 'backpack' these days

I checked out and went off to visit the Australian Museum, but was finding it hard to concentrate and take things in so caried on walking through the city.

I was lured into the Queen Victoria building, as it looked pretty, I noticed the road outside had been blocked off and there seemed to be a lot of Police around.

Inside the building was a Christmas tree that went through 3 floors and an ornate shopping arcade.

Coming down the steps I realised why the road was closed.

There was a march for Palestine.

I guess organised by Palestine Action Group......

A similar group has been made illegal in the UK .....rightly or wrongly. There is always more than one side to an argument.

All I know is the killing of innocent people is wrong.

......and written signs can shock if not written carefully......at first glance I thought this said LISA not USA 🤪

Anyway, Peace & Love is the only answer.....

My evening was spent at the Steven Wilson concert

He and his band are amazing live.

My favourite track from The Overview album.

....in his usual way he's trying to tell a story. with this album.....I think this one is 'humans are pointless .....the meaningless of everyday life.......insignificance of us all in the universe....that's my interpretation anyway

(Some conversational comments:

"We're all here gazing into our mobile phones while the world burns down around us........." LT

"Absolutely...blinded by the light of a hugely advanced technology that is actually turning people into juvenile neanderthals, laughing and forwarding tictok videos....people that can no longer think for themselves or respect the world around them as it's the other side of that wall.....The powers that be love it!  Less and less free thinkers, more and more conformists.  Digital Junkies shooting up the Internet" AT)

........on a lighter note....

He did some older tracks, and this from 'The Harmony Codex' (Love the guitar solo).......had to link from another tour date...not sure there will be much posted from Sydney.....they were very strict about filming. The attendants were actually stopping people.....never seen that before.

This is mellow but generally the concert was quite 'rocky' .....sandwiched in dates between Metallica & Opeth....a lot of mutual fans were here.

......and the highlight for me, the last song on encore.....one of my favourites 'The Raven that refused to sing'.....to experience it live was immense!!

......still buzzing
