Kuang Si Waterfall

11th March

This is a beautiful limestone terraced waterfall, about an hour out of town. The water is know for its clarity & blue colour due to reflecion from the limestone particles. There were lots of delicately coloured fish in the water.

The hostel did a drop off / pick up trip, Piper told me about it. She came on the trip too.

It was a nice peaceful walk through the trees to the main waterfall. .....

Until thousands of Chinese tourists descended - cameras and selfie sticks at the ready!

There is also a bear sanctuary there for rescued bears from the bile farms. Moon bears.

There was a walk to the top, with a view over the mountains.

You had to get a little buggy to & from the waterfall walks. On the way back there were queues of Chinese & we only had a few minutes to get back. Piper just walked a separate line to the front & so I followed her - we pushed in, in front of so many people!

Later I switched hostels to one closer to town & went to eat at the night market again.

Down by the waterfront where the two rivers meet it is so peaceful at night.
