2nd April
The night bus, once again, was full of Vietnamese, and me, and it was comfortable and made plenty of toilet stops but it was really slow! 20 hours......
and when it reached the bus station at Ho Chi Minh City, I had to get a Grab to my hostel as it was a 50 minute drive away.
The city is noisy and busy and like any other, and I'm not relaxed here. The hostel isn't the greatest either.
Not particularly friendly roommates. The one bathroom/toilet is shared with eight in our room and another eight in the room opposite and there is a water leak in the ceiling so water is actually dripping from the light bulb and onto the floor - or your head if you forget & stand under it. I mean, I'm not one to complain but this is possibly one of the worst I've stayed in. Also the air conditioning unit is right by my head on the outside wall and is quite loud and rattly.
So - less time spent here the better!
The light switch in the hostel dorm is conveniently placed behind someone's bunk so it was really dark in the room. I gave up and had an early night.
