Melbourne shopping

A chilled day today, exploring various charity shops to find some warmer items of clothing for Tasmania where I'm going on Thursday for ten days. I'm assuming it's going to be even colder than here!

On the way back a visit to Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance. Another war museum.

This was a little piece (above in gold) about Squadron Leader James Catanach who was an RAF pilot shot down in September 1944 & ending up in Stalag Luft III, the real 'great escape' story.

The Shrine was impressive & the view from the balcony is great.

And some of the quaint little houses in the streets around St Kilda plus a bit of film from the tram along the seafront

..... I found a pair of warmer trousers & a hoodie, a free pair of trainers from the hostel & some light reading

total spent £6.75.....such a skinflint!
