Mujimba Beach

10th November

Drove back up to the sunshine coast - up the Sunshine Motorway ๐Ÿ˜€ after travelling on the M1 again - it makes me laugh, they call this the Bruce way - and past 'Aussie World' a hideous looking theme park.

Spent the day at the beach - mostly - although it did rain on & off, was quite windy & not great for swimming. The waves were wild.....although this didn't seem to put off plenty of Australians......they're pretty hard core.....some of them.

The place in the first picture is a kind of 'hangout' for the local over 60's. Got chatting to a couple of older ladies.

Walked along the beach.

Did quite a bit of people watching. Didn't take many photos as my battery was running low with limited charging options & my battery packs both run down.

It was sad.....I saw a dead kangaroo at the side of the road. ......another good reason to drive slower.

The wildlife is slowly depleting, as their habitation is getting lost - they are supposedly 'reducing' the amount of indigenous trees they are chopping down - replacing them by planting pine trees etc and chopping down these........but why are they only reducing the cutting of natural trees?

They seem to like their trucks here....there are so many.

This area seems quite posh - one street I wandered down reminded me of something out of 'Home and away' or neighbours.........Ramsey Street!

This was a house for sale:

6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms...etc.etc.......seems like a lot.......I'm happy with a van ๐Ÿ˜‚

My last night - spent in a quiet street, near a caravan park.

Contemplated staying in the Mujimba beach car park, but it had signs up saying on camping and no overnight stays. There were other vans in there with one guy that looked like he was living there.

But I sensed the locals were unhappy with 'vans' staying the night - sure I heard some comments and a guy scouting round on his bike - funny how people get annoyed by this, even if it doesn't affect them.

I was just happy that I managed the whole week without paying for any night's stay.
