I, of course, chose to walk up and the views at the top were very cool!
You could see the skyscrapers of the Gold Coast in the distance
Beerburrum started as a Post 1st World War settlement scheme for soldiers, which failed due to difficult living conditions for the settlers, it says due to poor soil & lack of farming experience, but sounds like they were mostly struggling with high rents.....same old story.......
The settlement school is still a school today, with a new building
After this I went on another walking trail - to walk off the cheese cake - around Mount Tibrogargan.
It was nice to spend more time around the glass house mountains & I saw another kangaroo.....which I couldn't catch on camera! But he looked just like this one:
The walk was nice....even though it was spotting with rain a little
Scribbly gum Eucalyptus .. the scribbles are caused by burrowing insects
Golden Orb spider.... I think that's its name .....I saw it on an info board ......not poisonous but the bite is painful. They make very strong webs apparently
Currently sat in the van at 3.30pm as its raining ........but cosy
Had this song on the brain all afternoon.......I wonder why!..........
Should be this one really, I suppose..
