Boxing Day ๐ŸŽ

26th December

Drove back to Kaiteriteri beach for breakfast & coffee & rain and poor seagull who had lost a foot

Then I visited Spilt apple rock

https://www.nelsontasman.nz/scenic-attractions/split-apple-rock/

The beach was beautiful

Then I drove on to the Abel Tasman National Park where there is a coastal walk you can walk & camp along the way. There were lots of people with big rucksacks, walking. I did an out & back walk to Apple tree Cove.

It was a really pretty coastal walk to the beach there

I had forgotten my bikini so had a quiet swim in my nickers on Porters beach, which was empty

The tide went out quite far in the estuary so they had tractors to pull the water taxi boats  onto the beach.

I continued on inland to Lake Rotoroa - was breathalysed on the way ๐Ÿคฃ - the police were stopping everyone.

At the lake campground I was swarmed by sand flies,  then it rained all evening so had my tea inside the van.
